Helmet
The founding member and singer/songwriter/guitarist of the highly influential hard rock band HELMET.
Founded in 1989, HELMET recorded 4 albums over a 9 year period. The band’s debut album “STRAP IT ON” was released in 1990 on the independent label Amphetamine Reptile. Helmet thereafter signed with Interscope Records and in 1992 released the groundbreaking gold album “MEANTIME.” The group’s follow up to “Meantime,” “BETTY” was released in 1994 to worldwide critical acclaim and showed a diversity of influences not heard on previous Helmet albums. The fourth Helmet album “AFTERTASTE” was released in 1997 on Interscope again to great critical acclaim and after having toured around the album for a year the band parted ways in January 1998.
